Debbie Doner first landed in Berlin during the early nineties, when she was on tour playing bass with a forgotten post-punk band. She discovered two things while there: heroin and doner kebab. She abruptly left tour to pursue both of these passions. Her opiate addiction landed her in a trough of bad luck, while her love for doner kept her alive. Her unbridled genius for lyrics and voice transcended her otherwise unfortunate trajectory to bring her to this moment to shine with her tribute to that German health food we all know and love.
